Land clearing cost per acre varies more than almost any other line item in outdoor construction, because "an acre" can mean wildly different amounts of actual work.
Vegetation density is the biggest variable
An acre of light brush and scattered small trees clears in a fraction of the time of an acre of dense hardwood timber or thick cedar thicket. This is why per-acre pricing has to reflect what's actually growing there — a quote based on acreage alone, without seeing the property, isn't a real quote.
Other factors that move the number
Terrain and access affect how efficiently equipment can work. What happens to the cleared material matters too — hauling debris off-site costs more than piling and burning where that's permitted, or mulching in place. Stump removal, if needed, adds additional time beyond simply cutting vegetation.
